How to save money on drugstore makeup at CVS this week!

I love using coupons on drugstore makeup because I love trying new products and what better way to do that than to get them cheap or FREE when you can!

There is a great deal at CVS this week for L'Oreal Paris and Physicians Formula and here is the breakdown!

CVS will be printing a $4 off $12 coupon at the red coupon machine.
There are also coupons from coupons.com you can print straight from your computer which are $2 off of any L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Butterfly Mascara. You can print 2 coupons per computer.

Sales:
Buy any 2 Physicians Formula products, get $10 ECB back
Spend $15 on L'Oreal Paris products, get $5 back

My suggested scenarios:
If you have previous ECB to use, you can work them into your deals too to make your out of pocket even lower!

Buy 2 Physicians Formula concealer sticks (or any other item) at $6.99 each.
Total: $13.98 + tax
Use $4 off $12 coupon from CVS coupon machine
Use any ECBs you have
Pay: $9.98 + tax get $10 ECB (you will use the $10 to roll onto the next transaction)
So FREE after ECB!

Buy 2 L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Butterfly Mascara at $8.99 each.
Total: $17.98 + tax
Use 2 x $2 off of 1 Mascara coupon you will print from coupons.com
Use $10 ECB from previous transaction
Pay: $3.98 + tax get $5 ECB which makes it basically FREE after ECB!

Your total out of pocket expense will be: $13.96 + tax with $5 ECB for your next CVS trip! That's $3.49 per item!

How to do an easy summer look!

Hi! I hope everyone is having a great summer! Is it hot where you live? It's so hot here in Las Vegas and I don't like wearing a lot of makeup in the summer heat so I usually go with something very simple, light and glowy. I like to keep it very natural because I think it looks great when the sun hits your skin and leaves that bronzed tan look.

You don't want the sun shining on a heavily made up face do ya? No! Of course not, you want to show your natural beauty! :)
Here is my go to makeup look for the summer heat!

I also did a video tutorial to show you how easy it was!

Please let me know what you think about it, how long does it take for you to do your makeup for summer?

Smokey eye makeup look using Itsjudytime Palette!

Hi lovely people!

I am currently on a mini "vacation" while my husband is on a business trip in Arizona. I packed my new Itsjudytime palette and my BH cosmetics Malibu palette to play around with while I was travelling. I figured I had the perfect combo of eye shadows as well as highlights and blushes to use in two compact palettes.

One afternoon I decided to play around with the palettes and tried doing a smokey eye look. Now if you know me, I don't usually do dark eyes however I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and try a little something different so I came up with this look!

I love it! I used the dark bronzes and browns in the palette and a little of the purples. Then I used the dark colors in the Malibu palette to help create more of a dark shadow on the eye. I really liked how it turned out! The Itsjudytime palette had the perfect pigmentation to make it smokey but not too "blacked" out.

So thank you Judy for the palette! If any of you want to purchase this palette, go to www.bhcosmetics.com! It's a great handy palette for starters! Lots of neutrals and a few purples to add a little color to your look :) I hope you enjoy!

Let me know what you all think of this! Is it too subtle? Too dark? I would love to hear thoughts and tips on a smokey eye for asian eyes!

Wearable Orchid Inspired look - Purple and yellow makeup

Today I was inspired by this picture of a lovely orchid my mother in law's boyfriend gave me when I had my third baby girl.

It's so beautiful I wanted to do a look on it but since it was so vibrant and had contrasting colors, I wanted to do a more subtle wearable look. I also received my package from BH Cosmetics I ordered with the 120 color palette 2nd edition. There's such a variety of colors that I wanted to test out the pigmentation of and this is what I came up with! I also have a link to Amazon you can click below if you like to purchase it yourself!

Schoolboy Brow Inspired Look

I was looking through spring/summer makeup trends of 2014 and came across this look from Cosmopolitan.uk website.

I was inspired to do this look because it was so new to me. I have never in my life done my brows before and I wanted to venture out of my comfort zone. I didn't even have brow products so I used black eye shadow and an eye shadow brush to achieve my bold brows.

I hope you like it! Go out of your comfort zone!

Hello!

It's been a long time since I posted anything and it's because I just had my third baby YAY! We just had a surprise baby girl and she's taking up a lot of my time right now but I suddenly had the urge to look glammed up today. I youtubed a few looks and found this one by AlisonLovesJB which I thought looked so pretty and decided to try it out myself.

Here is my look:

Get ready with me! Play day with the kids

Hi everyone!

Moms, have there been times when you tell your kids you were going to take them out to the playground and they get all excited and rush you like crazy? Well I filmed a "Get ready with me" video to show you I did it with all their rushing and nagging today!

I did a look today using mostly Elf products which is really affordable, simple and quick for a day out with the kids. I went for more of a neutral/natural look so if you want to see what I did, here is the video for it!

If you want more information on the specific products I used, and you think it might help in the blog posts please let me know and I will be happy to start doing that!

Elf Contouring Blush & Bronzing Cream Review and Demo

Good afternoon and how is everyone doing today!

I did a review and demo on the Elf Contouring Blush and Bronzing cream in the color St. Lucia today! Here is a swatch of it on my hand.

I definitely enjoyed the color payoff of this product as well as the creaminess and blendibility! I used my fingers to blend the product on my face as well as a blending blush brush to see if it made a difference on the video.

It's sold for $3 on the Elf website here under their Studio line. Please don't forget to sign up for their newsletters! They offer great coupon codes like the one I received today which is the 50% off Studio line makeup, making this blush and bronzing compact only $1.50! And free shipping when you spend $35! Can't beat that!

Here is the video!

Elf HD Blush in Superstar Review and Demo

Hello lovely ladies!

This is my review on the Elf HD Blush in color Superstar! I wanted to show some swatches of the blush colour and mention some brushes I used to apply and blend the colour on my face. This is how it looked like on my hand:

It's sticky and tacky to the touch and pretty thick, I have never used a blush like this before and is different to a cream blush as well.

I used the Elf small stipple brush to apply the color on my face, then I used the Coastal Scents fluffy face brush to blend everything out to make the blush look natural.

It is a very bright pink color, honestly I thought I would look like a clown after applying this blush! But I worked at it and used my favourite Coastal Scents brush to blend and blend and it actually gave a nice result!

Here is my review video for those interested to see this product in a live demo:

Elf Studio Flawless Finish Foundation in Sand Review and Demo

Good day everyone!

I recently received a package from Elf and one of the products I was most excited to try was the Elf Studio Flawless Finish Foundation in the color Sand. As some of you might know, I only had 1 tinted moisturizer in my current collection and it just doesn't give me the coverage and longevity I wanted.

I tried this product on and this is how it looked on my arm.

It shows up darker/pinker on my skin but on my face it looked good. It is tacky to the touch so you can either leave it just as is or you can mattify it with powder.

I currently love this product and for $6 online at www.eyeslipsface.com I think it's a great foundation to start with.

I also did a demo and review video below:

Today's Look with ELF cosmetics

I just received my ELF package in the mail (FINALLY)! It has been ages since I ordered it and I'm happy it came today. I did a video on the unboxing and haul of the products I purchased but here is my look I did with the items.

I like the look in the bathroom with bright light, in flash it's maybe a little brighter? Maybe it's just my lips... I might need to figure a way to make the lipstick look better. What do you think?

Look of the day - Gold and baby winged eye liner

This is my look today as I got ready for a quick trip to Home Depot with my hubby and kids.

I used my handy dandy tinted moisturizer, some concealer, gold on my eye lids, eye liner, little blush and just some lip gloss for this look.

Quick and simple is my motto!

Hope you guys have a great day today! Tell me what you did today! Did you do a quick run to the store like me or did you have something bigger planned for the day?

Affordable brushes

Hi ladies!

Today I want to talk to you about some affordable brush sets you should try. I personally believe that makeup brushes are just like paint brushes, you need different brushes to achieve different textures and looks. You want a larger brush to apply foundation to your face because it's a bigger canvas, then you want to use a smaller brush to apply color to your eyes. I'll also have links for the products I talk about which will take you directly to Amazon, a trusted site, on the left side of the blog so you can buy them with just a click!

I don't know about you but my budget is very limited and simply cannot afford MAC brushes at $25+ a piece. Do you know how much groceries I can get for $25? HA! So I had to search for other alternatives to getting a start up brush set.

As I was looking into purchasing some Coastal Scents cosmetics (www.coastalscents.com) that were on Christmas or New Year sale as a beginner platform, I also looked into brush sets and found this set (http://www.coastalscents.com/brushes/sets-and-cases/br-set-011.html):

This is the 22 piece brush set by Coastal Scents. I don't remember how much I purchased mine for but the regular price on the website is $34.95. It comes with a faux leather case to travel with and a big variety of brushes to experiment with which makes each brush about $1.50-$1.60 if you round it up, not including the carrier it came with!

I also found Elf Cosmetics (www.eyeslipsface.com) a great website to purchase some starter makeup and brushes. Elf has a Studio line and an Essential line; the Studio line is slightly more expensive with brushes starting at around $3 a brush oppose to the Essential line with brushes that range from $1 a brush to $15 for a 9 piece brush set. Below is the 12 piece brush set for $12.

e.l.f. Professional Complete Set of 12 Brushes

Another great website to purchase a starter brush set would be from BH Cosmetics. They have regular "steals" and currently have a steal on a 10 piece brush set for $15.95 here.

Pop Art Steal

I can't give you my opinions on the BH Cosmetics (www.bhcosmetics.com) brushes or Elf brushes yet as I haven't tried them, but I did order a few Elf brushes which will be arriving soon! I did also hear many great reviews about BH Cosmetics and Elf brushes on Youtube so I'm not afraid to recommend them! I have the Coastal Scents brush set and I love it. It's very easy to use, bristles are soft but dense enough to pack on color and not to forget the convenient travel case it came with!

I hope I gave you some ideas on where to begin with buying your first set of brushes! Let me know what you think!

Slight Cat Eye look

I decided to do a little cat eye look today. Just experimenting, trying to do something different everyday if time permits so I played around with my 88 Warm Palette by Coastal Scents and came up with this look.

What do you like to experiment with when you have time?
